Admission

Admission in Bachelor of Education as a Common Entrance Test (CET) conduct by Nagaland University every year. Two Years duration as a regular course in the Government & Private Teacher Education Colleges in Nagaland State.

Eligibility:

Eligibility for admission to B.Ed Course shall be as per NCTE norms i.e. candidates who have passed Bachelor/Master degree in Arts/Science/Commerce, securing 50% or above from a UGC recognized university are eligible. There shall be relaxation of 5% marks in favour of ST/SC/OBC & other categories as per rule.

 

Documents to be produced at the time of admission:

The Pass Certificates, Marksheets, other Certificates and Admit Cards of all the examinations passed in Original.

 

Documents to be submitted at the time of admission:

  • Photocopy of Pass Certificates, Marksheets, other Certificates and Admit Cards of all the examinations passed.
  • Photocopy of Registration Card for candidate who have passed last examination from Nagaland University.
  • Original Migration Certificate for candidate coming from other Universities other than NU.
  • Photocopy of SC/ST/OBC/EWS Certificate, if applicable.
  • Photocopy of Person with Disability Certificate from the competent authority, if applicable.
  • Photocopy of Indigenous Certificate if applicable.

  1. Pre-Service Teacher – 88
  2. Management Quota – 10
  3. Person with Disabilities – 2

ATTENDANCE:

As per the NCTE, the minimum attendance of Student-Teachers shall have to be 80% for all course work and 90% for school internship failing which the discontinuance of the course will be attracted.

Student-Teacher who fails to attend his/her classes over a certain period of time at a stretch on a reasonable and acceptable ground (such as accidents and its related treatments, serious diseases or death of near and dear ones) must apply immediately to the Principal for consideration or examination of the absence for the period.

Attendance and participation in all the practical works, seminars, curricular and co-curricular activities will be taken into account regularly for the continuous and comprehensive evaluation related to internal assessment.

UNIVERSITY EXAMINATION:

Candidates appearing the final examinations of Nagaland University at the end of First Semester, Second Semester, Third Semester and Fourth Semester respectively will apply in prescribed forms through Principal of the College. Such applications will be accompanied by the requisite certificates and required examination fee.

A candidate should get a minimum of –

· 40% marks in each theory paper.

· 40% marks in practical papers.

· 40% marks in aggregate and

· 40% marks in the internal assessment of each paper for passing the B.Ed. examination.

 

UNIVERSITY FEES:

Registration Fee, Enrolment Fee, Eligibility Fee and Examination Fee for the University will be paid separately as per university notifications in due course of time.
